Kongqiao is a special name for bridges in ancient China. As early as 1192 AD (the third year of Mingchang in the Jin Dynasty), the first Kongqiao was born in China. It was on the Kunming Lake in the Royal Garden of the Qing Dynasty during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795). A "seventeen-hole bridge" was built, and so far the kong bridge in the Summer Palace is famous all over the world.
